R2L: My new fave 4 real

If you live in Philly, you need to eat at R2L at least once. It will probably make it on to your list of top 5 restaurants quicker than a finger snap from your sassy little sister.

The first reason is probably good enough to Rsvp asap. This beast restaurant is in the sky man! It’s on the 37th floor of Two Liberty Place so this is basically cloud 9 - you know, the magic place you knew was fake but always still day dreamed about in 8th grade. But was that good enough reason for me to peg it my favorite?

Secondly, this place is actually cool. When I say cool, I mean you that you’ll probably tell yourself that you would not mind living there - it’s cozy comfortable. The tables and seating is spaced out real nice so you ain’t gonna be rubbing your dirty mouf on the guy next to you. When I say spaced out, I mean it. There’s a bar, and the area around it is very loungy - actually, the whole place is very loungy but a very comfy and cozy lounge. I’m out of words, this place is so nice you’ll probably want to start your own food blog just to blog about it.

Oh yeah, there’s food too. Of course! It’s a restaurant you know.

This fork and spoon collage is nice. Who needs a waiter when you can grab a utensil yourself. Sorry waiter, I don’t need you anymore. Actually, I want some water.

Complimentary bread rolls. That white stuff in the cup is butter. The bread rolls are like big brother and little brother. How cute. They both ended up in our stomachs.

Crab Cake (Very good of course. What you think this is? Haru!?)

Vegetable soup (she loved it. Hollerrrr!). The green thing is not a chia pet - it’s pesto.

Rabbit nachos (it’s real rabbit meat, I asked!)

Caesar salad (that’s how you know this place is different - the salad and dressing isn’t even tossed like you expect)

Salmon (Highly recommend. You’ve probably never ate anything on this dish before except the salmon)

The flavors on the salmon entree was exquisite (that’s the only word I found to describe it). I got my fish cooked medium rare. It came out very very tender and juicy. The two greens on the dish are both very unique and I think you gonna love it too. Fuck, who am I kidding, you’ll love everything. Why wouldn’t you love it? Who wouldn’t love soapy foam on their fish?

The entree was no match for my stomach although I couldn’t finish it. I wish I could have but my stomach was already a habitat for rabbits and crabs and fish. Add in some greenery and my stomach is done-zo.

Not sure what else I can tell you. It’s just something you have to experience. The atmosphere, deco, space, food, and service was good. The food wasn’t rushed so you don’t feel like your ass is getting kicked out. We ain’t have dessert but there was some interesting stuff. I recommend you save some room for dessert because you’ll want something.

I ain’t sure what R2L stands for but she thought it might stand for “Right 2 Left”. I’m not 2 certain if that’s right so I just left it at that. Ok that was joke was terrible. I’ll stop now.
