Penang with the work gang

Penang makes some pretty good spicy dishes. I like spicy food so that means I like Penang.

I think almost anyone who goes here will get the roti canai which is the malaysian flatbread. Some will refer to this as “indian pancake”, or something like that but it’s the first food pic in this blog. It looks like a rock next to a bowl of orange stuff, which is some curry chicken side so you can dip the bread in. The dip is really tasty, and as a bonus you get a piece of chicken so rock on with your damn self.

The Penang here in Philly is pretty good. Always seem to have a good amount of people. So what do I think of the one in Princeton?

I myself got the seafood tom yum soup which is like a mix of hot and sour flavors with seafood, noodles, veggies and some more stuff that I never heard of. It’s pretty good tasting but the noodles weren’t that good. They were too thin for my liking. I like them thick. If you want pad thai, I think penang makes a very good pad thai. They give generous portions so you won’t be starving through the night.

The dessert we had was the ice kacang. They couldn’t make a chendol that we wanted so we had this. It’s no comparison to the chendol. I was dissappointed.
